A certificate of accommodation is required by the Directorate of Immigration and Nationality of the Ministry of Interior in the country concerned, for any person requiring a visa to enter and reside permanently or temporarily in a foreign country. The certificate, if issued, shows that the property is considered to provide a safe and healthy environment for the occupants and does not present any health risk. The host must provide in the certification all information about him or her and certify that he or she agrees to host the applicant in his or her home during the applicant's stay. The full identity of the person to be accommodated must also be specified in the certificate.
